Mets Dominate Angels 5-1 for Convincing Win! 
What a game, folks! Our beloved New York Mets took on the Los Angeles Angels and came out on top with a 5-1 victory. Let's dive into the action!Early Lead Thanks to Alvarez and Bader 
The Mets got on the board first in the top of the 2nd inning. Jose Iglesias doubled to center, setting up the stage for Francisco Alvarez, who singled to left and brought Iglesias home. Big applause to Harrison Bader for some aggressive base-running as he stole second, showing the Angels that the Mets mean business. The inning wrapped up with the Mets leading 1-0.Alonso with a Power Move 
The second inning saw the Angels tie it up, but the Mets responded immediately. In the top of the 3rd inning, Brandon Nimmo singled to center, and then our powerhouse Pete Alonso smashed a two-run homer into the left field to put us ahead 3-1. This was a key moment that shifted the momentum in our favor.Adding Insults to Injuries 
In the top of the 6th inning, Harrison Bader and Francisco Lindor set things up with singles, and J.D. Martinez delivered an RBI single to expand our lead to 4-1. The Angels couldn’t handle the pressure as Vientos reached on a fielding error, allowing Lindor to score another run. Thus, the Mets capped this inning with a commanding 5-1 lead.Lockdown Defense and Dominant Pitching 
Our pitching staff was on fire today! Despite a bit of action from the Angels, our defense stayed solid. Special shoutout to Butto, who came in and shut down the Angels with ease. One of the highlights was Jeff McNeil moving to second base and continuing to provide stellar defense. Closing it Out in Style 
The 9th inning saw Maton close things out, leaving the Angels no chance to make a comeback. Calhoun grounded out, Ward lined out, and Moniak struck out swinging. This sealed our victory at 5-1!Wrap Up
