Tough Loss for the Mets in Miami 
Ugh, what a frustrating game for our beloved Mets against the Marlins. We were off to a slow start with nothing happening offensively in the first three innings. Initial Lead in the 4th Inning 
Finally, in the top of the 4th, we saw some action! Pete Alonso reached on a single, followed by Mark Vientos with another single. A pickoff error by the Marlins' catcher allowed Alonso to advance to third, and Luis Torrens' sacrifice fly brought Alonso home for the first run of the night! Jose Iglesias then singled, but we couldn't capitalize further. Still, we were up 1-0! Marlins Fight Back in the Bottom of the 4th 
Unfortunately, the Marlins responded swiftly. Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a 3-run homer, crushing our early lead 
. We were down 3-1 by the end of the 4th inning.Responding in the 5th Inning 
Harrison Bader reached on a throwing error, and Brandon Nimmo walked. J.D. Martinez singled to left, bringing Bader home and cutting the lead to 3-2. Hope was alive! But, Vientos struck out, and we couldn't push Nimmo across. Standing Strong in the Middle Innings
Adrian Houser replaced Trevor Scott on the mound and delivered a solid bottom of the 5th, keeping the Marlins scoreless. We got some singles here and there, but couldn’t make it count where it mattered. No changes to the score.Marlins Extend Their Lead in the 7th 
Disaster struck in the bottom of the 7th when Jake Burger hit a solo homer, extending their lead to 4-2. The Marlins kept us from scoring in the 8th and 9th innings with some solid relief pitching.Heartbreaking Finish</HEADING]
The ninth inning was tough to watch. Harrison Bader and Brandon Nimmo both were struck out swinging, and Francisco Lindor flied out to center to end the game at 4-2 in favor of the Marlins.
Disappointing for sure, but we’ll come back stronger! Let’s go Mets!
