Game Overview
What a fantastic victory for our Philadelphia Phillies, who took down the Mets with an impressive 7-1 win!

Sluggish Start
Both teams started off the game testing the waters with no runs scored in the first three innings. Kudos to our pitchers for keeping the Mets off the scoreboard! Luzardo certainly showed his mettle by navigating through some tricky spots, especially when Francisco Lindor found his way to third base in the first inning, only for us to shut down any scoring chance.
Phillies Ignite The Fire
Our offense exploded in the bottom of the 4th inning, igniting Citizens Bank Park with excitement!

Steady and Strong
By the 7th inning, our guys poured it on, extending the lead to 7-0. Trea Turner and Kyle Schwarber each singled, setting up Alec Bohm to hit a sacrifice fly that saw Turner sprint home. Castellanos delivered another crucial double, bringing Schwarber in to score. The offense was electric, and the guys showed no plans of slowing down.
Defense Holds Strong
Let’s give credit where it’s due—the pitchers and defense were phenomenal. Zach Lazar and Matt Strahm shut down the Mets' hitting efforts in the later innings, with the sole blemish being a solo homer from Lindor in the 8th. Still, the bullpen held the fort, making sure the Mets' threat was minimal.

Celebrating a Team Effort
This win was nothing less than a complete team effort. From clutch hitting to a steadfast defense and exceptional pitching, the Phillies gave us a performance to remember! Let’s cherish this win and look forward to more victories in the season. Go Phillies!
