What a Comeback! Twins Win in a Thriller!

Hey Twins fans! What a roller-coaster of a game that was! Our boys never gave up and pulled off a thrilling 6-5 victory over the Athletics in a nail-biting extra inning!

Rough Start, But We Held On

Things looked bleak early on. In the top of the 1st inning, Shea Langeliers crushed a homer to left center with the bases loaded, putting Oakland up 4-0. 😬 But our pitching held firm after that—big shoutout to the bullpen for keeping us in the game.

Buxton and Kepler Light the Spark

In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Byron Buxton tripled to center, scoring Carlos Santana, putting us on the board. Then, in the 6th inning, Max Kepler absolutely crushed a 426-foot homer to center, bringing in Willi Castro and Carlos Correa. That tied the game at 4-4! 🔥

Late-Inning Drama

The Athletics took the lead again in the top of the 7th, but we weren’t done yet. In the 8th, Carlos Correa scored on a bases-loaded walk by Carlos Santana to tie the game at 5-5.

Extra Innings Heroics

We went into the 10th inning with the score still tied. Austin Martin ran for Trevor Larnach, and Correa took an intentional walk. Then, with two outs, Max Kepler singled to right, sending Austin Martin home for the winning run! Walk-off win! 🥳

Key Performances

  • Max Kepler: 3 hits, including that game-tying 3-run homer and the walk-off single.
  • Byron Buxton: Key RBI triple in the 2nd inning.
  • Carlos Correa: Solid at-bats and crucial run in the 8th.

What an incredible game, everyone! Let's carry this momentum forward! Go Twins! 💪⚾
