What a Win! Phillies Top Braves 3-2! 🎉

What an incredible game, Phillies fans! Our boys took on the Atlanta Braves and pulled off a nail-biting 3-2 victory. Let's break down how it all went down.

Pitching Duel Early in the Game

Both teams were kept off the board for the first three innings with solid pitching performances. Our offense had a rough time getting started as Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner, and Bryce Harper couldn't get it going in the first inning. Meanwhile, the Braves started making some noise but our defense shut them down.

Braves Take the Lead in the 4th

It was getting tense when Orlando Arcia hit a homer in the bottom of the 4th, bringing home Jarred Kelenic and putting Atlanta up 2-0. 😬 That was a tough spot.

Comeback in the 6th! 💪

We responded like champions in the 6th! Edmundo Sosa singled to left, and Johan Rojas doubled, putting runners in scoring positions with no outs. Schwarber grounded out, allowing Sosa to score. A sacrifice fly from Trea Turner brought Rojas home, tying the game at 2-2!

Go-Ahead Run in the 8th! 🔥

The tension was high when Weston Wilson doubled to right starting the 8th inning. Substitutes came in with Bryson Stott flying out, allowing Wilson to advance to third. Brandon Marsh stepped up and hit a sacrifice fly to left field, bringing Wilson home and giving us the crucial 3-2 lead.

Locking It Down in the 9th! 🔒

It felt like forever, but we held it together. Seranthony Estévez came in to close it out. After putting the tying run on base with a walk, the nerves were at an all-time high. A pop-out by Jorge Soler, followed by a single from Gio Urshela, made things interesting. With runners in scoring positions, Michael Harris II and Whit Merrifield were retired, securing our 3-2 victory.

On to the Next! 🚀

This game showcased our resilience and ability to capitalize when it mattered. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to close out this intense game against the Braves. Great performance from our bullpen and clutch hitting sealed the deal. Let's keep this momentum going, Phillies! 🟠🔵 #RingTheBell

Can't wait for the next one! 🥳
