What a game, Phillies fans! Our boys brought their A-game last night, delivering an electrifying 8-1 win over the Tigers. From the get-go, it was clear we meant business. Let's dive into the highlights of this fantastic game.Explosive First Inning Sets the Tone 
The excitement began right in the first inning, with Kyle Schwarber reaching first on a fielding error. That opened the door for Trea Turner, who doubled to right, putting Schwarber on third. Then, Bryce Harper made Tigers fans clutch their heartstrings by smashing a double to center, bringing home both Schwarber and Turner. But we were just getting started! Alec Bohm stepped up and knocked it out of the park with a homer to left center, scoring Harper. With a stunning 4-0 lead early on, the Phillies were already in a commanding position.

Our defense was airtight, leaving the Tigers scoreless in the first inning thanks to some masterful pitching. Matt Vierling, Colt Keith, and Riley Greene were all set down in quick succession with a combination of grounding out and strikeouts.A Quiet Second and Third Inning... Almost 
The second and third innings were a bit quieter on the offensive front for both teams. Though the Tigers threatened in the bottom of the third, our defense converted a triple play, stunning the opposition and preserving our lead. The Tigers managed to sneak in a run during the fifth inning when Zach McKinstry scored off a single from Carson Kelly. But that was all they could muster against our stellar pitching and defense.Harper's Second Homer Seals the Deal 
Bryce Harper didn't think the Tigers were hurt enough, so in the sixth inning, he sent a three-run homer to right, also bringing home Cristian Pache and Kyle Schwarber. That brought the score to a dominating 7-1. Later, Alec Bohm doubled in the eighth to bring home Harper, rounding out our commanding score.Phillies Pitching Shines
