Phillies Take the Early Lead

From the very first inning, our Phillies started with a bang against the Marlins! 🤩 After Kyle Schwarber was hit by a pitch, Bryce Harper cracked a massive homer, sending it 401 feet to center field and bringing Schwarber home. Just like that, we're up 2-0! J.T. Realmuto had a tough start, striking out looking, and Brandon Marsh popped out shortly thereafter, but the initial lead was a great morale booster. 🏟️

Building the Momentum

Moving into the fourth inning, Brandon Marsh kicked things off with a double to right, with Harrison Bader following up with a single to center that brought Marsh home. Max Kepler and Edmundo Sosa each got in on the action with a pair of singles, loading the bases. Thanks to a sacrifice fly by Bryson Stott, which scored Bader, the Phillies extended their lead to 4-0. The Phillies’ offense was on fire!🔥 Meanwhile, our defense managed to keep the Marlins at bay through some quick and precise plays.

Holding the Line for a Victory

As the game pushed on, the Marlins managed to push across two runs in the fourth, but our Phillies stood strong, keeping them in check for the remainder. 💪 Matt Strahm did a fantastic job in the 8th by securing the lead with a scoreless inning, and in the 9th, Jhoan Duran came in to seal the deal, facing the minimum number of batters to claim the victory. 🎉 After stellar pitching and those early offensive highlights, our Phillies come out on top with a 4-2 triumph over the Marlins. Go, Phillies! 🦅🏆
