A Hard-Fought Battle
Hey, fellow Reds fans! What a rollercoaster of a game we had against the Pirates!
It was a nail-biting extra-inning showdown at the Great American Ball Park, but unfortunately, we came up just short against Pittsburgh, with a final score of 4-3. Let's dive into the highlights and key moments from the game!Defensive Duel Early On
The game started as a true pitchers' duel, with both teams struggling to get players on base in the early innings. Our very own Tyler Stephenson managed to give us some hope in the 3rd inning with a single to left, but unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize on that spark. Our pitching and defense held strong, and by the end of the 5th, the Buccos were leading just by one run.Late Game Drama
The 8th and 9th innings were pure tension and excitement! Noelvi Marte finally put us on the board with a solo homer in the 8th inning (408 feet, wow!
). Then Tyler Stephenson once again came through with his mighty bat belting a homer in the 9th for a clutch game-tying run (405 feet, incredible! 
). But with the game heading into extras, the Pirates managed to push another run across, leaving us to try and rally back.Fighting Until the End
In the 10th inning, TJ Friedl made it safely to third and Gavin Lux hit a sacrifice fly to bring him home, tying the game up again at 3-3!
Sadly, the Pirates squeaked one more run in the 11th and despite our best efforts with Will Benson and Friedl getting on base, our rally fell just short.It was a bittersweet end, but we've got some things we can be proud of. The team showed resilience and grit, never giving up till the final out. Let's come back strong in the next game, Reds fans!
