A tough night for us Phillies fans as our boys couldn't pull through against the Pirates, ending with a score of 5-2. It was a game filled with moments that had us on the edge of our seats, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. Let's dive into how the night unfolded.Early Innings: A Pitcher's Duel

This cut the Pirates' lead to just one run, giving us hope for a comeback. Unfortunately, the Pirates extended their lead in the later innings, despite our best efforts to keep the game within reach.Late Game Attempts and Missed Opportunities
In the 8th inning, we saw a glimmer of hope when the bases loaded with Phillies, thanks to walks by Schwarber, J.T. Realmuto, and a crucial walk by Alec Bohm to bring in a run. But with the bases loaded and a chance to change the game, Marsh struck out looking, a moment that truly felt like the air being let out of our comeback balloon.As the game moved into the 9th, our hope for a last-minute rally was high, especially with the Pirates bringing in Bednar to close. Despite Nick Castellanos, Stott, and Whit Merrifield showing determination, the comeback wasn’t to be as we went down 1-2-3 to end the game.
