Tough Day at the Diamond for the D-backs 
Hey, D-backs fans, rough one to swallow today as our Arizona Diamondbacks faced off against the San Diego Padres and, unfortunately, couldn't muster the firepower needed to take down a high-flying Padres lineup. The final score, a heartbreaker at 13-1 in favor of the Padres, tells the tale of a game we'll want to put behind us as quickly as possible.A Glimmer of Hope That Faded Fast 
The game started with promise; after the Padres put the first run on the board in the top of the 1st, our boys showed signs of sparking to life. Jake McCarthy hustling out a bunt single in the bottom frame was a highlight, but getting picked off first was a momentum killer we just couldn't afford. Efforts from Ketel Marte and Christian Walker were noteworthy but ultimately, as the innings progressed, so did the Padres' lead, leaving our D-backs scrambling to find answers that just weren't coming together today.The Padres Power Surge in the 7th 
While we managed to keep the game within reach through the first six innings, trailing by just three runs, the Padres exploded in the 7th inning. Manny Machado and Jurickson Profar led the charge with hits that just kept finding gaps, and the nail in the coffin came from Ha-Seong Kim's three-run homer that pushed the score to a demoralizing 11-0. Our pitching struggled to find answers, with relief appearances from Hughes and Jarvis falling short of stopping the Padres' offensive onslaught.D-backs Show Fight in the 9th 
True to the spirit of the team and fans alike, our Diamondbacks showed a glimmer of their fighting spirit in the 9th inning. After a tough day at the plate, the team managed to get on the scoreboard thanks to a single from Gabriel Moreno, driving in Kevin Newman for our lone run of the night. Though too little too late, it was a reminder that this team has heart, and on any given day, the ability to turn things around.Wrapping Up and Looking Ahead
