Another Tough Day at the Office

Our Dbacks took on the Padres today, and it was a rough one, folks. The game started off with no scores in the first three innings for either team. Our boys just couldn't seem to get any momentum going against the Padres’ pitching staff.

Struggles at the Plate

Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte tried to rally us up, but their efforts fell just short. Carroll had a fantastic double in the bottom of the 6th inning, and Marte showed patience and grit by getting hit by a pitch in the 1st, but we couldn't capitalize on those opportunities. Joc Pederson reached first base on a rare catcher's interference but struck out looking earlier in the game.

Pitching Changes Galore

We saw a parade of pitchers today - Rodríguez, Ginkel, Mantiply, Thompson, Martinez, Puk, and McGough all took to the mound. They worked hard, but the Padres found gaps in the 9th inning to put this game out of reach. Solo homers by Kyle Higashioka, Brandon Lockridge, and a two-run shot by Donovan Solano left our bullpen reeling.

Missed Opportunities

In the bottom of the 9th, we showed a spark with Christian Walker singling to left and advancing to third on a wild pitch, but strikeouts by Josh Bell and Eugenio Suárez ended our hopes of a comeback. The Padres ultimately took the game with a final score of 5-0.

Looking Ahead

Chin up, Dbacks fans! It's only one game in a long season. We saw some hustle and determination out there today. Let's regroup and come back stronger for the next one. 🐍💪

Stay positive, and let's keep supporting our team! 🌵⚾
