Tough Start for Our Padres
The game started off with our San Diego Padres making some noise but unfortunately not able to put any numbers on the board. Our top of the lineup, with Fernando Tatis Jr., Luis Arraez, and Manny Machado, tried to get things going but couldn't connect for a hit. The White Sox then took an early lead in the bottom of the 1st when Miguel Vargas launched a homer to bring us down two runs.
Gaining Momentum but Falling Short
Our boys weren't backing down so easily! In the 3rd inning, Jake Cronenworth hit a clutch single, and Luis Arraez stepped up with an RBI single to get us on the board.

A Nail-Biter of an Ending
In the 6th inning, Ramon Laureano kept our hope alive by stealing third and scoring on a groundout, narrowing the deficit to just one run. Sadly, that's where our rally ended. Despite solid pitching to keep the White Sox from extending their lead, the Padres couldn't quite find the remaining run to at least tie it up. Ramon Laureano, Jake Cronenworth, and Ryan O'Hearn had notable performances, but we fell just short, ending the game with a 4-3 loss.
Chin up, Padres fans—it was a hard-fought game, and our team showed grit until the very end. Here's hoping for a comeback in the next one!
