A Tough Loss in Seattle 
Hey Padres fans, it was a tough outing tonight against the Mariners, ending in a 5-2 loss. The game started off as a pitcher's duel with both teams scoreless through two innings, but Seattle broke through in the third inning, and unfortunately, we couldn't quite recover.Early Inning Highlights 
Our bats were sadly quiet early on. Luis Arraez flied out to left to start the game. Fernando Tatis Jr. and Jurickson Profar both couldn't get on base, grounding and lining out, respectively. Meanwhile, our pitchers were effective in the first two innings, keeping the Mariners from scoring.The Mariners took the lead in the third inning after a series of unfortunate events. An error by Jake Cronenworth allowed Julio Rodriguez to get on base, and an RBI single by Cal Raleigh plated the first run. Hits by Randy Arozarena and Luke Raley added two more to the Mariners' tally.
A Struggling Offense 
Our offense struggled to find a rhythm; we were shut down inning after inning. Manny Machado, Cronenworth, and Xander Bogaerts all made notable contact but couldn't get anything past Seattle’s defense. The sixth inning saw Adrian Morejon take the mound, but a critical wild pitch and a clutch double by J.P. Crawford extended Seattle's lead to 5-0.
Late Rally Attempt

We showed some life in the seventh inning. Fernando Tatis Jr. launched a solo homer to left, putting us on the board. Back-to-back base hits from Profar and Bogaerts managed to score another run, but Seattle quickly shut down the rally.In the eighth and ninth innings, we had no choice but to hope for a miracle that sadly didn't come. Profar and Machado both struck out swinging to end the game.
Looking Ahead 
Not our night, Padres fans, but our guys never gave up. We saw some solid pitching and a couple of late rallies, and it’s clear we have the potential to bounce back strong. Let's keep the faith and look forward to the next game. Go Padres!
