The next few innings were showcases of fantastic pitching from both sides. Our relief pitchers Ashcraft, Phillips, and Maxwell were exceptional in keeping the Giants at bay. The top of the second saw some tension with a leadoff double from the Giants' Bryce Eldridge, but we held strong with crucial outs by Casey Schmitt and others. Later, numerous strikeouts and defensive plays by Ke'Bryan Hayes and others kept the Giants scoreless. The Final Showdown and Victory Sealed!
As we entered the late innings, the Reds remained poised. De La Cruz continued to shine with another steal in the sixth, but a few missed opportunities kept the suspense alive. In the ninth inning, Parks closed out the game with finesse, forcing outs from Osleivis Basabe, Logan Porter, and Eldridge.
