A Rough Day in Atlanta: Mariners 18, Braves 2
Well, Braves fans, today's match against the Mariners was a tough one, to say the least. The anticipation was high as our boys took the field at home, but the Mariners came storming in and gave us a real challenge. From the get-go, it was evident that it was going to be a long day for the Braves, with a final blowout of a score: 18-2.

A Promising Start but a Quickly Deteriorating Game
Things started fairly quiet in the first inning with no runs from either team. The Mariners started creeping ahead in the second inning when Mitch Garver tripled, bringing in Josh Naylor for the first run of the game. Jordan Wentz on the mound was soon relieved by Dylan Dodd after the Mariners' bats came alive in the third, scoring eight runs including a 3-run double by Julio Rodríguez and homers from Jorge Polanco and Josh Naylor. The score ballooned to 9-0 by the end of the third inning. It was a nightmare inning that was hard to recover from.
Highlights and Small Victories
But hey, it wasn't a total wash for our Braves. Jurickson Profar brought us a moment of joy in the fourth with a fabulous solo homer to right, putting us on the board and giving us some hope. And in the ninth inning, Ozzie Albies managed to capitalize on a fielding error, eventually scoring another run off of a sacrifice fly by Michael Harris II. So there were glimmers of skill and effort that shone through in an otherwise challenging day.
Game Takeaways
Well, Braves fans, it's clear that we hit a bump today, but these games happen. The Mariners brought exceptional batting power, and our bullpen faced a litany of tough hitters. This won't deter us, though. We'll shake it off and rally for the next one! The team showed resilience, and that's something to be proud of. Until next time, keep your heads up, and let's support our Braves through thick and thin. Go Braves!
