Top of the 1st Inning

A shaky start from our Detroit Tigers, as Victor Robles flied out to left. Jorge Polanco walked and advanced to second with a walk to Randy Arozarena. But Cal Raleigh struck out swinging. Then, Luke Raley also walked, loading the bases. Justin Turner walked, pushing Polanco home for an early Mariners lead. Thankfully, Dominic Canzone grounded out to end the threat.

Bottom of the 1st Inning

Our bats couldn’t answer back as Justyn-Henry Malloy grounded out, Kerry Carpenter flied out, and Colt Keith grounded out. It was a quiet start for us, but we had plenty of game left!

Top of the 2nd Inning

In came reliever Maeda who took over for Faedo. He had a solid showing, striking out Dylan Moore, getting Josh Rojas to pop out, and striking out Robles swinging.

Bottom of the 2nd Inning

Still no hits for us as Dillon Dingler grounded out, Bligh Madris flied out, and Parker Meadows struck out swinging. The Mariners were holding us down, but the game was far from over.

Top of the 3rd Inning

The Mariners couldn’t capitalize as Polanco popped out, Arozarena flied out, and Raleigh flied out. Great job by our defense! 🎉

Bottom of the 3rd Inning

Andy Ibanez and Akil Baddoo struck out swinging, but Javier Baez gave us hope with a single to left! Unfortunately, Malloy grounded out to end the inning.

Top of the 4th Inning

Some tension here as Raley got hit by a pitch but was out on Turner’s fielder's choice. Turner advanced to second on a wild pitch but couldn’t score as Canzone flied out and Moore followed with a fly out to left.

Bottom of the 4th Inning

Still no runs for us. Carpenter and Keith struck out, and Dingler struck out looking. Frustration mounting, but there was still time!

Top of the 5th Inning

Robles doubled and stole third, but Maeda kept his cool. Polanco walked, and Arozarena flew out with Raleigh lining out to first. Phew! 😅

Bottom of the 5th Inning

Madris struck out swinging, but Meadows singled, giving us a chance. Ibanez popped out and Baddoo fouled out, leaving Meadows stranded after he stole second. Argh!

Top of the 6th Inning

Maeda finished strong with strikeouts for both Raley and Turner, and Canzone grounded out.

Bottom of the 6th Inning

Three up, three down once more - Baez struck out looking, Malloy struck out swinging, and Carpenter flied out. Hang in there, Tigers fans!

Top of the 7th Inning

Moore got hit by a pitch and stole second, but Rojas popped out, Robles lined out, and Polanco flied out. Solid relief pitching by Miller.

Bottom of the 7th Inning

Again, no dice as Keith, Dingler, and Madris couldn’t connect. Patience, patience!

Top of the 8th Inning

Miller kept it clean, with strikeouts on Arozarena and foul outs from Raleigh and Raley. 🎉

Bottom of the 8th Inning

Meadows walked and stole second, McKinstry popped out, and Baddoo grounded out. Enter Muñoz, but Baez came through with a 2-run homer to left center! Tigers take the lead at last! 🐯💥

Top of the 9th Inning

Defensive swaps in place – Urshela at third, McKinstry in left. Foley took the mound and shut it down - Turner flied out, Canzone struck out, and Moore grounded out.

A nail-biter but our Tigers fought back for the 2-1 win!! GO TIGERS!! 🐯⚾🙌
