A Heartbreaker in Anaheim 😫

Fellow Mariners fans, tonight's game against the Angels was a rollercoaster of emotions that unfortunately ended in heartbreak. The 2-3 loss leaves a sour taste, especially considering our early lead. Let's break down what happened.

Pitching Duel to Start 🎯

The game began as a true pitcher’s duel, with both teams struggling to get their offense going. Through the first four innings, neither side could muster any runs, despite some quality at-bats. Our lineup, featuring J.P. Crawford, Mitch Garver, and Cal Raleigh, couldn't crack the Angels' pitching staff early on.

J.P. Crawford's Solo Shot 🚀

Things heated up in the 6th inning when J.P. Crawford smashed a homer to center field, giving us the lead. A 410-foot bomb to boost our spirits and put us on the board 1-0!

Small Ball Success 😊

In the 7th inning, Victor Robles walked and managed to score on a throwing error by the Angels' catcher, Logan O'Hoppe. A gutsy steal of second base set things in motion, and we were up 2-0.

Late Game Collapse 😱

Everything seemed to be in our favor until the bottom of the 8th inning. With Mickey Moniak and Zach Neto reaching base, Jo Adell hit a three-run homer off our reliever, switching the score to 3-2 in favor of the Angels. A devastating blow to our hopes.

Ninth Inning Disappointment 😤

We entered the 9th with a chance to rally, but Ty France, Dylan Moore, and J.P. Crawford couldn't bring the magic. France grounded out, Moore struck out, and Crawford popped out to short, ending our bid for a comeback.

Looking Ahead 🌟

Despite the tough loss, there were bright spots. Solid pitching outings through most of the game and moments of aggressive baserunning show promise. Let's regroup and come back stronger in the next one, Mariners fans! 💪⚾

Go Mariners! 🚢
