A Strong Start for the Mariners 🚀

The Seattle Mariners came out swinging at the top of the 1st inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Cal Raleigh got things going with a double to left, followed by a walk from Luke Raley. Randy Arozarena also showed patience, drawing a walk to load the bases. Then, Jorge Polanco drove a clutch single to right, scoring Raleigh and Raley to give us an early 2-0 lead. It's great to see our boys taking opportunities and converting them! 😃

Maintaining the Lead ⚾

In the top of the 3rd inning, Jorge Polanco continued his stellar performance with a double to center, allowing Cal Raleigh to score and extend our lead to 3-0. We were really solid early on, both offensively and defensively. Our pitcher managed to keep the strong Dodgers lineup at bay until the bottom of the 4th, where unfortunately, Lux hit a homer to center and Muncy followed up with one to right. Our lead was trimmed to 3-2, but we still held on.

Tough Break and Rally Hope 🌩️

Things were looking dicey in the bottom of the 7th when Mookie Betts doubled to left, bringing the game to a 3-3 tie. Despite the shifted momentum, our bullpen stepped in to prevent further damage. Come the bottom of the 8th, though, disaster struck as Jason Heyward homered to right with two on base, pushing the Dodgers ahead with a score of 6-3. It was a challenging moment for our bullpen, despite their strong efforts throughout most of the game.

Late Game Push & Final Effort 🏃‍♂️💨

Entering the top of the 9th with a 3-run deficit, Leo Rivas gave us a glimmer of hope with a double to right. But sadly, our rally attempt was cut short as Rivas got out at home on a fielder's choice, and Dominic Canzone lined out to second, sealing a tough 6-3 loss.

Fan Perspective 🎤

While the 6-3 loss to the Dodgers stings, there are still positives to take away. Jorge Polanco was fantastic, driving in crucial runs early. Our team showed resilience and fought hard until the very end. Let’s keep our heads up, Mariners fans! We know our team has the skill and heart to bounce back. On to the next game! 💪🧢
