The top of the 3rd inning saw the Mariners take the lead with a solo homer from Josh Rojas. But we bounced back in the bottom of the 4th inning. Josh Smith singled to right, and after a double by Adolis García, Nathaniel Lowe came through with a clutch single to center, bringing in both Smith and García. We took the lead 2-1
.Fielding Errors Haunt Us
Unfortunately, the top of the 5th inning saw our defense crumble. A couple of fielding errors put Julio Rodríguez in a position to hit a three-run homer, shifting the momentum back to the Mariners with a score of 4-2. The Mariners kept the pressure on us, extending the lead further in the top of the 7th with another homer by Rodríguez and adding two more runs in the top of the 8th.Final Push Falls Short
The bottom of the 9th offered a glimmer of hope. Adolis García reached on an infield single, and Jonah Heim followed with a single to left. Ezequiel Duran then added another infield single to shortstop, but Leody Taveras fouled out to end any chances of a comeback. The game concluded with a final score of 8-2 in favor of the Mariners.Looking Forward
