Cardinals Fight Back​

The Cardinals wouldn't stay down for long. Brendan Donovan homered in the 2nd inning, pushing them ahead 4-3. Despite a fielding error, Tim Anderson's sacrifice fly in the bottom half tied the game at 4-4. However, the Cards added two more in the 3rd inning to take a 6-4 lead.

Keeping It Close​

After Alec Burleson homered to make it 7-4 in the 4th inning, Christian Bethancourt and Jazz Chisholm Jr. kept it close with a run each in the next two innings. De La Cruz tied the game once again in the bottom of the 6th with a clutch single, bringing the score to 7-7.

Tense Extra Innings 🫣

The game pushed into extras with everyone on the edge of their seats. The Cardinals grabbed a lead in the 10th with a sacrifice fly from Dylan Carlson, but our Marlins were not done yet.

Heroic Finish! 🚀

In the bottom of the 10th, Nick Gordon and Tim Anderson came up huge with infield singles to tie the game at 8. Pinch-hitter Vidal Bruján then delivered the walk-off single to right, allowing Gordon to score and seal our dramatic 9-8 victory. What a way to bring it home, Marlins!
