Tough Loss for the Royals
Fellow Royals fans, it was a tough night for our boys in blue as we fell to the Tampa Bay Rays 5-1.
The game started with us holding the fort well in the top of the 1st, but the Rays quickly took the lead in the 2nd inning when Danny Jansen hit a two-run homer. Our bats stayed cold for most of the game as the Rays gradually built on their lead.Pitching Struggles
Our starter got into a bit of a jam and had some struggles, especially in the 4th inning when a throwing error by Maikel Garcia allowed the Rays to put another run on the board. Later on, in the 5th inning, an error by our pitcher contributed to the Rays scoring their fourth run. The night was frustrating offensively. We scattered a few hits, but only managed to score in the final inning. Maikel Garcia kicked things off with a double in the 9th inning followed by a single from Vinnie Pasquantino, finally bringing Garcia home for our lone run. Salvador Perez almost rallied us with a big swing but flew out to right, sealing our fate. Fingers crossed that our bats wake up next game!
