First Inning: Adjusting to the Pace

Both teams started off nervously with a quick three up, three down. Our boys in pinstripes, Ben Rice, Juan Soto, and Aaron Judge struck out swinging. A tough start, but we’ve seen them bounce back from worse.

Second Inning: Power Surge! ⚡

Austin Wells and Anthony Volpe woke the stadium with back-to-back homers! What a way to energize the crowd and set the tone. Alex Verdugo walked but was left stranded when Oswaldo Cabrera lined out and Trent Grisham grounded into a double play. Still, we were up 2-0! 🍾

Third & Fourth Inning: Steady Dominance

The Rays struggled against our pitchers, and the Yankees took advantage. In the fourth, Aaron Judge and Austin Wells got on base, setting the stage for Oswaldo Cabrera, who delivered a clutch single bringing both runners home. We extended our lead to 4-0.

Fifth Inning: Rays' Glimpse of Hope

Jose Siri homered, putting the Rays on the board. But our boys responded promptly. DJ LeMahieu homered to left, and Juan Soto doubled, stretching our lead to 5-1. 🏆

Sixth Inning: Defensive Brilliance

Our defense held strong. Despite some traffic on the bases, the Rays couldn’t capitalize. Anthony Volpe and Alex Verdugo started our half with singles, though unfortunately, we couldn’t bring them around.

Seventh Inning: Maintaining Control

Juan Soto smashed a 424-foot homer! Although Judge and Verdugo couldn't add further, Wells kept the pressure with a single. The Rays remained stuck, unable to mount any significant threat.

Eighth Inning: Putting the Game to Bed 🛌

The pitching change didn’t help the Rays. Oswaldo Cabrera and Trent Grisham made their presence felt. And when Juan Soto launched another homer, driving in Cabrera and Grisham, we extended our lead to an unassailable 9-1. Exceptional performance by our bullpen too, keeping the Rays quiet!

Ninth Inning: Closing it Out

Cousins took the mound and delivered. Despite a hit by pitch, he forced a double play to end the game. Yankees win, 9-1! It was a masterclass in hitting and pitching. 🎉

Well done, Yankees! Next game, let’s keep this momentum going! 💪⚾

Go Yanks!
