Disappointing Start for the Dodgers

The game kicked off with a shaky start for the Dodgers. The Texas Rangers took an early lead in the top of the 1st inning. Josh Smith and Adolis García got on base, and Nathaniel Lowe drove in the first run. Soon after, Wyatt Langford singled to right, scoring García. By the middle of the first inning, it was already 0-2. Our guys couldn't respond in the bottom of the 1st, with Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Teoscar Hernandez all failing to convert.

Missed Opportunities and Solid Relief Pitching

Despite Ryan Yarbrough and Nick Ramirez retiring batters effectively in the 2nd to 6th innings, the offense couldn't capitalize. We saw promising moments, especially when Andy Pages homered in the 7th inning to finally get us on the board (369 feet—what a hit!). But other than that rare bright spot, we just couldn't string hits together.

The 8th Inning Heartache

Things looked promising when Cavan Biggio was hit by a pitch and Austin Barnes singled, putting runners on the corners. However, our heavy hitters, Betts, Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman, all struck out swinging 😔. That could have been our moment to turn the tide, but we fell short.

Ninth Inning Frustration

Entering the bottom of the 9th at 1-3, there was still hope. Teoscar Hernandez walked, and Andy Pages advanced him to second on a balk. We felt the surge of anticipation, believing we could make a dramatic comeback. Unfortunately, Jason Heyward struck out, and pinch-hitter Will Smith couldn’t extend the inning, leaving us at a final score of 1-3.

Final Thoughts

It was a frustrating evening, with few offensive highlights and missed chances to capitalize. Hats off to the Rangers for their solid play 👏. But, we win some, we lose some. On to the next game, Dodgers! Let's regroup and come back stronger 💙⚾!
