Yankees Hold On to Win a Thriller Against Rangers, 8-7
What a nail-biter! The New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers battled it out at Yankee Stadium, and it went down to the wire. But in the end, our boys in pinstripes emerged victorious with an 8-7 win!

Early Lead for the Yankees
The Yankees were the first to score in the bottom of the 1st inning. Alex Verdugo reached first base on a throwing error by Rangers' third baseman Josh Jung. Aaron Judge then singled to center, pushing Verdugo to third. Our powerhouse Giancarlo Stanton hit a sacrifice fly to center, allowing Verdugo to score for an early 1-0 lead. Defensive excellence kept the Rangers scoreless through the first two innings.
Home Run Showdown
The action heated up in the 3rd inning when Juan Soto smashed a 413-foot homer to right-center, giving the Yankees a 2-0 lead.
But that was just the beginning! Giancarlo Stanton crushed a 405-foot three-run homer in the 5th inning to widen the gap to 5-0. This was followed by back-to-back solo homers from Soto (406 feet) and Judge (374 feet) in the 7th inning, making it 8-3. 
Rangers Rally, but Yankees Hold On
The Rangers didn't go quietly. They started to claw back in the top of the 6th inning, with Corey Seager doubling to score a run. But the Yankees’ pitching staff stood strong. Tommy Kahnle managed a key strikeout, and Clay Holmes came in clutch to shut down the Rangers in the 8th inning after they had scored three more runs, bringing the score to a tense 8-6.
Final Inning Drama
The 9th inning was heart-stopping! Adolis García singled to score, closing the gap to 8-7 with runners on second and third. Clay Holmes showed his mettle, inducing Leody Taveras to ground out, sealing the win for the Yankees.
