Tough Loss for the Rangers in Seattle

Hey fellow Rangers fans, last night's game against the Mariners was a rollercoaster! Despite a valiant effort in the 9th inning, we fell short and lost 5-7. Let's break down the game... ⚾💔

Early Struggles

We started off pretty strong with Marcus Semien drawing a walk and stealing second in the 1st inning, but unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize. Corey Seager and Adolis García both grounded out, and Nathaniel Lowe couldn't bring Semien home, grounding out to first.

The Mariners took the lead early with Julio Rodríguez and Cal Raleigh driving in runs in the bottom of the 1st and 3rd innings to make it a 4-0 game. We were struggling to find our groove offensively with multiple innings without any runs.

Fighting Back

Our fight back began in the 5th inning. Ezequiel Duran reached on a bunt single and advanced to second on a throwing error. Semien then doubled to left, bringing Duran home and putting us on the board, 4-1! 🙌 This gave us a bit of hope and momentum, but we couldn't string together enough hits to close the gap.

By the 7th inning, the Mariners extended their lead to 5-1 with a homer from Josh Rojas. Things were looking bleak, but our Rangers never gave up!

Intense 9th Inning Rally

In the top of the 9th, we saw a glimpse of that classic Rangers spirit. García singled to left, followed by Lowe's single to center which sent Garcia to third. Wyatt Langford then grounded into a fielder's choice but managed to score Garcia. After a series of singles and a clutch walk by Josh Smith, we had bases loaded with the score at 7-3. 🤞

Semien came through with a single to right that brought in two more runs, making it 7-5 and putting us within striking distance. Unfortunately, Seager grounded out to first to end the game. So close! 😩

Looking Forward

While it was a tough loss, the late rally showed our resilience. We need to tighten up our defense and get more timely hits. There's still plenty of baseball left to play, and we know our Rangers can bounce back! Let's keep supporting our boys and hope for a better result in the next game! 🔥💪

Go Rangers! 🏆
