Nationals Overcome Braves in a Nail-Biter!
What a game, fellow Nationals fans!
Our team really showed up and secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves. This game had its moments where it could've swung either way, but the Nats held strong. Let's dive into this gripping contest!A Tough Start But a Strong Finish
The top of the 1st had us on the edge of our seats, with CJ Abrams striking out but Lane Thomas managing to single and then steal second. However, the Braves' defense was on point, leaving us scoreless in the early goings. Both teams had a quiet start, with the score tied at 0-0 by the end of the 2nd inning.
Nationals Break Through
The magic started in the 3rd inning, where we really shook the Braves. After Jacob Young was hit by a pitch and stole third, Joey Meneses came through with a clutch double, bringing Thomas and Young home. Then, Jesse Winker doubled to deepen our lead to 3-0!
