Nationals Edge Out Victory Against Tigers! 
What a thrilling game today! Our Washington Nationals pulled off a fabulous win against the Detroit Tigers with a final score of 7-5. Let's dive into the action. 
Early Innings - Tight Start 
The game started off slow for our Nats. In the Top of the 1st, CJ Abrams and Lane Thomas both grounded out, followed by a single from Jesse Winker, but that wasn't enough to get on the board. The Tigers responded quickly in the Bottom of the 1st with Matt Vierling hammering a solo homer. By the end of the 1st inning, we were down 0-1. Getting Back in the Game 
It wasn’t until the 3rd inning that CJ Abrams hit a remarkable 404-foot homer to tie the score at 1-1! A walk from Lane Thomas and Jesse Winker getting on base showed signs of life, but we were still tied by the end of the inning.Taking the Lead! 
The 4th inning brought us joy as Luis García Jr.'s infield single led to a ground-rule double from Joey Meneses, setting the stage. Keibert Ruiz sacrificed, and García Jr. scored, giving us a 2-1 lead. Then we REALLY got rolling in the 5th! Abrams hit a ground-rule double to bring Jacob Young home, followed by Jesse Winker's and Luis García Jr.’s RBI plays, putting us up 5-1.Tigers' Claws Come Out 
Even though we had a solid lead, the Tigers weren’t done. In the Bottom of the 8th, some errors and clutch hits from Detroit brought the score alarmingly close at 5-4. Gio Urshela and Colt Keith were instrumental in making the bottom half of the 8th inning nerve-wracking.Closing it Strong! 
Entering the 9th with a 5-4 lead, we nailed it! We added two more runs—a clutch infield single from Luis García Jr. and Joey Meneses’ RBI single—stretching our lead to 7-4. Though Riley Greene homered in the bottom of the 9th for Detroit, it wasn’t enough. Kyle Finnegan came in and sealed the deal, grounding out Riley Greene to end the game.Final Thoughts 
What a team effort! From CJ Abrams and Luis García Jr.'s stellar plays to Joey Meneses and the bullpen holding strong, it was a fantastic display of baseball. Great win, Nats fans! Let's keep this momentum going!
