An Exciting Start
What a way to kick off the game with a bang! Our guy, Amed Rosario, knocked it out of the park with a homer to left-center, putting the Nationals ahead 1-0 in the very first inning.
It's always thrilling to see a Nationals player draw first blood, especially in an away game against a team like the Dodgers. Unfortunately, the rest of the inning didn't bring additional runs, but starting with a lead was a great feeling.Inning Three Setbacks
The third inning was tough for the Nationals as the Dodgers managed to bounce back. Despite our strong start, an error allowed the Dodgers to score, and before we knew it, Teoscar Hernández and Andy Pages added to their tally, making it 3-1 with the Dodgers in the lead. While those errors hurt, it only rallied us fans to cheer on our Nationals stronger, because we know what this team is capable of!
Fighting Spirit
Fast forward to the fifth inning, and here's our man, Riley Adams, smashing a homer to left field! That brought us back to some upbeat times. Then in the seventh inning, Luis García Jr. came in and hammered a double to right, bringing in a couple more runs. That brought some serious hope as the score moved to 6-4. It was fantastic to see the grit and determination of the Nationals shining through.

Into the ninth inning, with tension in the air, CJ Abrams decided it was time to unleash his bat, sending a homer to center to bring us closer at 6-5. Despite the heart-pounding finish, we couldn't quite draw level. It's not the fairytale ending we were hoping for, but with the grit and determination shown throughout, this Nationals team fought hard until the very last swing. Let's carry that momentum into the next matchup! Go Nationals!
