Victory and Drama in Extra Innings

Hey Phillies fans! What a thrilling game it was at Citizens Bank Park! Our Phillies took on the Minnesota Twins, delivering a heart-stopping extra-innings win against the boys from up north. 🎉

A Tense Start

Both teams started strong defensively, trading scoreless innings all the way to the 6th. Our pitchers did a great job keeping the Twins in check. The first half saw Alec Bohm, Brandon Marsh, and Nick Castellanos all striking out swinging in a tough second inning. But hey, we knew it was only a matter of time before the tide would turn! 😅

Kepler's Clutch Homer

In the bottom of the 8th, with the Twins leading 1-0 courtesy of Ryan Jeffers earlier hit, Max Kepler stepped up to launch a breathtaking homer to right-center field. That solo shot tied it up and set the stage for an intense finale. Boom! 💥👏

Heroic Finish in the 10th

Our bullpen held firm in the top of the 10th with Orion Kerkering striking out all three batters, setting us up for a thrilling finish. In the bottom half, Harrison Bader came in to pinch-run for Alec Bohm and advanced to third on Weston Wilson's sacrifice bunt. The atmosphere became electric as Nick Castellanos hit a crucial sacrifice fly to center, bringing Bader home to win it 2-1!

We couldn't have asked for a more exciting win! Go Phillies! We'll see you for the next game, where we're ready to carry this momentum further! 🔔⚾👏
