A Tough Battle on the Mound
Hey, Royals fans!
Slow Start for the Royals Offense
The game kicked off to a bit of a slow start for us. Maikel Garcia, Bobby Witt Jr., and Vinnie Pasquantino were retired in order in the first inning. Despite some decent contact, Angels' defense was just unyielding. It wasn't until the fifth inning that Randal Grichuk gave us a much-needed spark with a big homer to center field, cutting the Angels’ lead to 3-1.Fighting Back from Behind
From there, it turned into a true battle. In the 7th inning, Carter Jensen stepped up big time, replacing Luke Maile, to deliver a clutch single that brought Mike Yastrzemski, who had been hit by a pitch, home to make it 3-2. The effort was palpable, and the belief was strong that we could pull this one back to our side!Final Inning Heartbreak
As the tension rose in the 9th inning, the heart of our order came up against Jansen, the Angels' reliever. Yet, despite our hopes clinging to each swing, Pasquantino, Salvador Perez, and Yastrzemski were unable to get on base, handing the Angels the win narrowly at 3-2.Hats off to our guys for giving it their all. Sometimes the ball just doesn’t bounce our way, but we’ll bounce back stronger for the next game. Keep that Royal pride alive, fans, and let's look forward to the chance to turn the tables next time!
