A Tight Start
It's always a great feeling to begin a series against a division rival on a high note! The St. Louis Cardinals delivered an impressive win over the Milwaukee Brewers with a final score of 5-1. The game started slow with both teams struggling offensively in the first two innings. Our guys held the Brewers to zero runs due to solid pitching and defense. Meanwhile, Ivan Herrera took one for the team by getting on base after a hit-by-pitch in the first inning. But by the end of the second, it was still a scoreless tie.
Herrera's Homer and Fermín's Fire
The game took a delightful turn in the bottom of the 3rd inning with Victor Scott II drawing a walk which set the stage for some heroic hitting! Ivan Herrera blasted a two-run homer deep into left-center field, electrifying the stadium and putting us ahead 2-0.

Solid Defense Seals the Deal
The Brewers managed to sneak in a run during the 5th inning, but our defense held strong. The pitching changes were strategic and effective with Zack Thompson, Bryan Svanson, and Nick O'Brien ensuring Milwaukee couldn't launch any significant counterattack. When José Fermín earned a walk in the 8th inning, allowing Ivan Herrera to score again, it put the nail in the Brewers' coffin. The Cardinals clinched the game at 5-1, showcasing both talented batting and a disciplined defense. Hats off to the team for a fantastic performance tonight! Let's keep this momentum going, Cardinals!
