Heartbreaker at Wrigley Field
Hey there, fellow Buc fans! It's a tough pill to swallow after a nail-biter of a game against the Chicago Cubs. The Pirates battled fiercely but came up short in a 4-3 loss at the historic Wrigley Field. Despite the defeat, there were some bright spots
Game Highlights & Tough Breaks
The action started early with Bryan Reynolds getting on base with a double in the first inning. However, we couldn't capitalize

The fifth inning was another tough break, with a costly fielding error allowing the Cubs to score. But in the top of the sixth, Joey Bart came through with a double that brought home both Nick Gonzales and Jack Suwinski, giving us a 3-2 lead.

Cubs Fare Better in the Late Game
The tide turned against us during the bottom of the sixth when a single by Carson Kelly brought Seiya Suzuki home, evening the score at 3-3. Unfortunately, we couldn't find our groove in the seventh and eighth innings under the pressure of the Cubs' pitching. The Cubs managed to snatch the lead in the eighth with a sacrifice fly by Dansby Swanson, bringing Kelly in to score. Despite our valiant effort, the top of the ninth saw Bryan Reynolds, Tommy Pham, and Spencer Horwitz retired in quick succession by Cubs reliever Kittredge.
Looking Ahead
It was a heartbreaker to lose by a slim margin, but there were promising performances from guys like Joey Bart and Spencer Horwitz. Our Buccos
