Tough Night at Minute Maid Park

Fellow Astros fans, it's hard to sugarcoat a 4-0 loss to the Seattle Mariners. 😟 Our boys gave it a valiant effort, but just couldn't find their rhythm at the plate tonight. It's not easy watching the bats fall asleep, but let's take a look at how the game unfolded.

Mariners' Power Surge

The Mariners came out swinging in the top of the first inning with a solo homer from Julio Rodríguez, quickly putting our Astros on the defensive. Then in the fourth inning, Eugenio Suárez added another solo shot to extend Seattle's lead to 2-0. Our own Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa tried to create some magic, but it just wasn't happening for us tonight. 🤔

The seventh inning was another tough one. Victor Robles hit Seattle’s third homer of the game to add extra cushion to their lead. Later, Josh Naylor put the final nail in the coffin with a homer in the eighth inning to make it 4-0, Mariners. Not the kind of night we were hoping for at all.

Astros Fall Short

Despite a couple of defensive highlights, our offense couldn't get on track. Carlos Correa managed a double, and Isaac Paredes got on base a couple of times, but overall we struck out far too many times. The Mariners' pitchers were just dialed in, and we couldn't capitalize on the rare chances we had.

It's important to remember that there's always another day and another game. 🌠 Let's rest up, regroup, and get ready to turn the tide and reclaim victory! Go 'Stros! 🌟
