A Tough Day at Wrigley Field
The rivalry was fierce, but unfortunately, the Cubs topped the charts today with a dominant performance against our beloved Cardinals, wrapping up the game with a hefty 12-1 score. It was not the outcome we were hoping for,
Pitching Duel and Defensive Battle
At the top of the game, both teams exhibited strong defensive plays. Our notable defensive stand came in the second inning when the Cubs, despite getting several hits, were unable to convert them into a score, thanks to the solid defense from the Cardinals. Kudos to Lars Nootbaar and Jordan Walker for their fielding plays that halted momentum! Despite early struggles, the Cardinals shared promising moments, with Nolan Gorman and Tommy Saggese showing grit at the plate.A Glimpse of Hope
In the seventh inning, a flicker of hope shined through as Jordan Walker stormed the field with an impressive single that allowed Nolan Gorman to score our only run of the game
Sealing the Deal
Though we were on our knees, Seiya Suzuki’s home run in the seventh inning turned out to be the Cubs' knockout punch, tallying four additional runs and sealing the fate of this encounter. Our pitchers faced challenges, but the bullpen gained much-needed exposure and resilience even as we struggled today.Looking Forward
While this game didn't go our way, there's no surrendering for the Redbirds. Let's hold our heads high and remain hopeful for a comeback game in the future! Keep rallying behind our team, Cardinals fans, because it’s always great to scream and shout for the Redbirds, no matter the obstacle. ❤
Remember, it's not about how hard you get knocked down; it's about how quickly you get back up! Let's dig deep and bounce back for the next one! Bring it on!
