Tough Start for the Marlins
Starting the game was a bit challenging for our Miami Marlins as the Nationals set the scoreboard on fire early with
Josh Bell hitting a massive homer to bring home
CJ Abrams and
James Wood. Our boys were trailing right from the get-go, but you could feel the determination in the air

. Despite
Jakob Marsee doubling to left in the bottom of the first, we couldn't muster any runs, which kept the score 3-0 in favor of the Nationals as the inning came to a close.
Heart of a Fighter
Our Marlins showed some resilience in the second inning when
Joey Wiemer smacked a homer to left, putting us on the board with one run.

Better late than never, right? The Nationals did manage to extend their lead in the fourth inning, scoring two more times to make it 5-1.
Daylen Lile's homer in the fifth stretched it to 6-1, and despite some nice plays, our offense struggled to break through the National's defense for a few innings.
The Electrifying 9th!
Talk about a nail-biting finish!

Our Marlins made the Nationals sweat it out by scoring four runs in a thrilling last-ditch effort. Newcomer
Victor Mesa Jr. hit a clutch double that brought in two vital runs, narrowing the gap. Then
Xavier Edwards, with a cool infield single, allowed
Mesa Jr. to score. We carried momentum, but ultimately, the Nationals managed to seal the game at 7-5. Proud of our Marlins for fighting till the end and showing great grit. Keep that Fish pride alive, Miami!
